Forex market hours

Forex market is open 24hours a day (5days a week-- from 5pm EST on Sunday until 4pm EST Friday). It is the largest financial market in the world, trading around $1.5 trillion each day. Forex  Trading  is not done at one central location but is conducted between participants through electronic communication networks (ECNs).

Forex market provides opportunity for traders to trade at any time of the day. Never waste your time & efforts in slow markets. Best time to trade is when forex market is the most active; thus biggest volume of trades. From forex market hours (shown above) find the hours when two market sessions overlap. More market sessions, more trader & most active market. For example, trading EUR/USD, GBP/USD currency pairs will give good results between 8:00 am and 12:00 noon EST when two markets(EU MARKET & LONDON MARKET) for those currencies are active.
